Laptop didn't boot from CD drive.

Hello all,

Got this problem today, one of my client reported the problem that his Laptop never booted up from CD. His O/S was corrupted and he wanted to install fresh O/S, but the problem was that his Laptop's BIOS didn't boot from neither CD Drive nor USB, even if I set first boot device as a CD drive in BIOS.

I didn't know what was the problem, but accidently I got solution.

I was trying hard, I set first boot device as a Network (In-fact there was no network connection), second as a CD drive, and third one as a HDD, then I restarted it.

First Laptop tried to boot from Network, but as there was no Network connection present suddenly somehow it has detected CD drive and I got message that 'Press any key to boot from CD'

I've got solution, this might or might not work with your desktop or laptop, but it worked in my case. You may try it if you've same problem, after all it depends on your computer's BIOS.

My Computer didn't power off automatically.

Hi guys,

Just came across this problem few days ago. When I shutdown my PC it didn't power off automatically, its fan and GREEN LIGHT was on. But actually my PC was off.

I've Googled much for this problem, but didn't find any solution. One fine day, I've opened my CPU case, taken out processor from socket, cleaned it with soft cloth, again mounted it on socket properly, now I've got my problem solved.

This might work for you also, this is a matter of experience. Just try it out.

How to fix no display problem?

Well, recently I came across this kind of problem, as many of you might know that this could be the problem of RAM, when your RAM not mounted properly on the RAM slot or there's dust there on the slot then this might be the problem of display gone out.

Just cleanup your RAM slot with the air blower and clean up RAM with soft cloth. But sometimes it might not be a problem of RAM. Well, lets see what's happened in my case, once I thought I must cleanup my CPU case, I disassembled parts, I dismounted mother board from case, then I dismounted CPU and it's Fan from mother board.

After cleaning up dust, I reassembled it, and after connecting all connections properly I pressed power ON switch, but I surprised that my CPU's green LED was on but there was no activity with red LED and there was no display at my monitor.

I thought I didn't mount my RAM properly, I mounted it properly, then again pressed power ON switch, but no problem still exists. I did this process many times, dismounted RAM, remounted it, but I was unable to solve the problem. I have spent a lot time struggling with this problem, I thought to call repairing technician.

Then as last resort I dismounted CPU and Fan, cleaned up CPU lend with soft cloth, mounted it again on the socket and became little careful mounting Fan. After this, again I pressed power ON switch, oh now I got display. I solved my problem.
